History of Metatude
Metatude is an offspring of the Giarte Media Group, an e-business and IT research firm in the Netherlands with online research communities. The Metatude concept was developed as a result of Giarte Media Group's own need for greater speed and efficiency in collection input from executive communities. Since 1997 Giarte has been developing software to manage online communities and to collect feedback from these communities. This research was sponsored by large IT vendors like Compaq, IBM, Microsoft and Unisys. Because many clients showed an interest in the research technology it was decided to spin off these activities in a separate company in the year 2000. In January 2000 Metatude started an ambitious design project to develop an enterprise solution. The major design goal of the project was to develop an application suite to collect stakeholder feedback that can be used with every type of directory, can run on all the major platforms, can write to all important databases and is be ready for every electronic channel. A team off business managers, user interaction designers and IT-specialists designed the software using leading internet standards, both proven and emerging. After one and a half years of design and development the first release has been released in May 2001. This first release is a solid and easy to use software suite to manage stakeholder feedback. |
