Dr. Koos Andriessen (Chairman)
From 1963 until 1965 and from 1989 until 1994 Koos Andriessen was the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs. He was a member of the Social Economic Council (SER) and the Social and Economic Committee of the European Union (1959-1963) and member of the Board and later CEO of the Van Leer Group of Companies (1965-1987). From 1987 until 1989 he was chairman of the Dutch Christian Employers Association. At the moment Koos is chairman or member of various Supervisory Boards of companies, such as Elsevier, Ballast Nedam, Randstad and ING bank in the past and Hunter Douglas, Novograaf and various ICT companies. He is closely involved in ICT (chairman of Isoc Netherlands and of a government sponsored organization for information technology in developing countries).
Prof. dr. Wouter J. Keller
Prof. dr. Wouter J. Keller was a member of the executive board of Statistics Netherlands (CBS) from 1992 until 2000. In that period he was responsible, among others, for the strategy around electronic data collection. At present he is founder and CEO of the consultancy firm Argitek (member of the M&I Group), member of the Scientific Board (WTR/SURF) and part time professor of Informatics at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is also well known for his seminars and publications about e-commerce technology, component-based application development, client/server tools and Groupware.
After working as a consultant and sales manager for ORES, Hans Abbink founded AND in 1984. AND International Publishers is an internationally orientated company specializing in three key areas. These are development and maintenance of databases to model aspects of the world, the development of industry-leading compression and indexing technology to utilize these data models, and electronic publications based on this technology. Hans stepped down as member of the Board of Directors and Statutory Director of AND in 2000, ending a period of 15 years in which he contributed substantially to the development of the company. Currently he has founded a new company Almende where he is CEO. Almende facilitates and advises on organizing networks.
