Connecting to LDAP capable servers
The manual of the Project Manager describes how to connect the Metatude software to the different LDAP servers. Below are links to articles on how to configure various kinds of servers to communicate trough the LDAP protocol so they can be used for retrieving stakeholder information.
Novell eDirectory
LDAP Services for NovellŪ eDirectory is a server application that lets LDAP clients access information stored in eDirectory. The Metatude software can serve as an LDAP client for Novell's eDirectory. Click on the above link to view Novell's manual on how to configure LDAP. In order for the Metatude Project Manager to retrieve stakeholder information, you need to upgrade Netware to at least Netware 5. You can use both Novell's eDirectory and NDS 7.3 for retrieving stakeholder information.

Windows 2000 Active Directory and Exchange 2000
MS Windows 2000 server and MS Exchange 2000 use Active Directory (AD) for storing user and e-mail information. Servers using AD are capable of communicating trough the LDAP protocol. Here you can read how to access the AD storage for usage with the Metatude software.
